Paranoid in Beijing
Wearing everything we own and squinting through the extreme pollution we worked Beijings many sites. After we went to see Rem Kolhass’s CCTV building things got a bit freaky. Amazing building that it is, it now sits empty with half of it burned and the other half to dangerous to occupy. It looked really cool though like some half destroyed alien headquarters. We took a few pics and headed off but we seemed to have attracted some attention. A guy tailed us for the rest of the day. We were already a bit spooked after seeing the giant video screen continously beaming strutting soldiers out over Tianamen square. So we headed back to the hostel. A guy In a suit and sunglasses sat in the corner and stared at us. We were ready to leave.
Shanghai’s meaty goodness
We hit Shanghai for some party good times. Met up with Karin who showed us the ropes then ruined us with Saki bombs over dinner. Dave stormed the kitchen and showed the chefs how it’s done. Emma hid cringing. After that we danced like crazy. The next day we ate the best dumplings ever by the old Yuyuan gardens. The queue is normally an hour long… Well worth the wait. Dave swears he can still taste their meaty goodness now.
